“The ‘courteous, knowledgeable and experienced' department at Bell and Buxton is led by the ‘well-regarded’ Charles Neal, who advises on lasting powers of attorney, estate administration, trust formation and administration, and will drafting.” The Legal 500 [2017]

Having qualified with First Class Honours in European, International and Comparative Law at Sheffield University, Charles qualified as a solicitor in 2006 and began working in the commercial field. In this context he dealt with all the various business models, their creation, various aspects of their functioning as well as dispute resolution.

Later he concentrated on private client work, becoming a Partner in 2010, and has built up a reputation for drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney, and for administering Estates and Trusts.

In addition, he oversees the formation and administration of trusts, including charities, and provides tax planning advice in relation to all of these areas of client care and private client work.  His commercial background enables him to bring a commercial understanding to matters of individuals in business when they are making a Will or when going through the probate and administration process.  His interest in European and International Law allows him to provide initial advice where an international dimension is involved in any way whether such dimension refers to property, ownership or personal domicile.  More detailed advice on international or inter jurisdictional matters can be obtained when necessary.

Contact Charles in relation to any aspect of probate and administration of an estate, drafting Wills and other Testamentary Dispositions, Lasting Powers of Attorney and any trust or charity related matter on the telephone number or email address shown below.

Charles qualified as a Notary in September 2014. He provides a service for commercial firms engaged in international trade, as well as for private individuals who may be planning to get married abroad, buy property or live overseas.

Shortlisted for the 2018 STEP Private Client Awards for 'Vulnerable Client Advisory Practice of the Year'.

Charles is recommended in the Legal 500 (2017) as being "well-regarded".
