Dax is a Solicitor with many years of experience who joined Bell & Buxton in November 2019.

Born in Chesterfield but having grown up in the South East of England, Dax graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 1996, qualified as solicitor in 2002, and since 2004 has worked at a number of firms in Sheffield and the surrounding area.

Specialising in commercial and civil litigation, Dax acts for clients on a range of matters, from high value commercial disputes to small claims cases. He also provides support to the employment department, having extensive experience in relation to a variety of employment-related issues.

Equally comfortable acting for businesses and individuals, Claimants and Defendants, Dax has a wealth of experience in disputes relating to matters such as:

  • Performance of contracts;
  • Professional negligence;
  • Residential and commercial property;
  • Boundaries and rights of way;
  • Trespass and adverse possession;
  • Constructive Trust and TOLATA cases;
  • Company and partnership disputes;
  • Construction, contracts and performance.

Approachable and with an eye for detail, Dax provides practical, measured advice tailored to the client’s needs and budget.  He strongly believes that it is important to be adaptable to situations as they develop, and to be proactive in obtaining the best possible outcome for clients, at the least expense if at all possible.

Away from work, Dax likes to spend his time walking and going to pubs with his family, cooking, reading about modern history, and sighing at the latest disasters to strike Chesterfield Football Club and Derbyshire County Cricket Club.
