Some situations concerning children and domestic arrangements are urgent and at Bell and Buxton Solicitors we are used to reacting quickly to emergency family circumstances. Whether you want to make an emergency application, or are on the receiving end of one, we understand that you need legal advice quickly and for it to be explained in a way that’s easy to understand.

Urgent application to the court for legal intervention occur for a wide range of issues including parenting arrangements; exclusive occupancy of the home in domestic abuse situations; or to prevent a child being harmed. There may be a situation where money or assets have been moved out of your control and swift action needs to be taken.

The court has the power to make an order on a variety of urgent issues without giving notice to the other party. However, there must be strong evidence and a good reason to do so. That’s why it’s important to get expert legal advice to ensure that your interests are represented and the correct process is followed.

Whatever the circumstances, we can advise and represent you and ensure that your viewpoint is heard.

Please be aware that Bell & Buxton cannot offer you Legal Aid, even if you meet the qualifying criteria.
