Company/Business Paralegal or NQ Solicitor

We are looking for a Company/Business Paralegal or NQ Solicitor with experience to provide direct support to the Partner in a busy Company Department in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. The role requires the successful candidate to provide direct support to the Partner who is head of the department. The work focuses on business sales and purchases, company restructuring, management buy ins and buy outs, shareholders' and directors' agreements, joint ventures, partnership agreements, NDAs, supply contracts and business terms and conditions, as well as an array of other commercial services.

Candidates must have good communications skills with clients, have attention to detail in drafting documents and have good business development skills with a view to assisting in building up the department. Future prospects will be excellent for the right person.

Salary: Negotiable and dependent upon experience

What we are looking for:

  • Prior work experience in a Company/Business team is essential
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Microsoft Office including Word and Excel is essential
  • Good English, grammar and spelling
  • Numerical skills
  • Excellent communication skills - experience in dealing with clients via telephone and face-to-face is essential
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload within the required timescales
  • Ability to work under pressure as and when required (this may involve some flexibility in working hours)
  • Confidence in using a case management system. Experience of Partner for Windows is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.

Commercial Property Solicitor - 2 Years + PQE wanted 

We are looking for a Commercial Property Solicitor with at least 2 years + PQE to provide direct support to the Partner in a busy Property Department in a high street firm.

The role requires the successful candidate to provide support to the Partner who is head of the department and also run their own varied caseload. The work itself focuses on the sale, purchase and lease of land, leasehold management, covering commercial leases, landlord and tenant matters, acquisitions, disposals and development work.

Candidates must have good communications skills with clients, have attention to detail in drafting documents and have good business development skills with a view to assisting in building up the department.

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum prior work experience of 2 years plus in Commercial Property team is essential
  • Ability to work effectively within a team but will predominately be working autonomously and handling their own transactions
  • Microsoft Office including Word and Excel is essential
  • Good English, grammar and spelling
  • Numerical skills
  • Excellent communication skills - experience in dealing with clients via telephone and face-to-face is essential
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload within the required timescales

Training Contracts

We offer a structured training contract, with trainee solicitors spending a six-month period in four of our departments. Full supervision is provided. We aim to offer our trainees an immediate involvement with our clients on a wide range of legal issues.

We currently recruit one trainee solicitor per year with a view to retaining them on qualification and expanding the firm from within.

We are interested in hearing from academically well qualified law graduates. Non-law graduates who are able to demonstrate practical legal experience are also welcome to apply. Applicants should be able to demonstrate an interest in developing the firm’s business.
